Project Summary
Colloquium Publishing is an energetic and visionary publishing house with a focus on high quality literature of enduring worth. A major step forward came earlier this year when Colloquium managed to develop a strong relationship with a book distributor who is now selling Colloquium titles to Russia and other parts of the former Soviet Union. However, Colloquium has always looked towards the time when it could publish titles in the national language, Ukrainian. Since the collapse of the USSR, there has been a growing resurgence of the Ukrainian language and a growing rejection of Russian, particularly among the evangelical population.
JSM-Langham Literature will partner with Colloquium to launch a series of biblically rich books authored by local theologians and scholars. Initial plans are to produce two Ukrainian titles in 2010. Please join us in the efforts to initiate sound biblical resources that are vital to the growth of the Ukrainian church.

We have just had an excellent week's visit from Alexander of Colloquium Publishing. They are tackling a number of major works on Biblical studies and trying to develop a nucleus of thinkers and writers in the Russian and Ukrainian languages. Please pray for a much needed breakthrough in sales and distribution in Russia and other Russian speaking republics, as well as continued market development in Ukraine. Alexander asks for particular prayer surrounding a recent order from a Ukrainian political party for a large volume of copies of JESUS AND POLITICS (Alan Storkey). The party representative said, "This book is the best expression of our political agenda we can find!"
